SUMMARY:Think tanks and public affairs webinar
DESCRIPTION: \n\nHow can think tanks more effectively work with public affairs? What do they need and how can you help their clients? \nPublic affairs is a broad term\, but for those working in this space\, the main focus is on building a deep understanding of policy issues in the areas in which they work\, and engaging as many different people who are involved in the development of those policy areas as possible. With that in mind\, one of the most important audiences public affairs firms can work with are those in think tanks. \nJoin us as Ella Fallows\, co-founder of the Women in Public Affairs Network (WiPA)\, dives into the relationship between public affairs professionals and think tanks. We’ll look at: \n\nInsights on how public affairs professionals work with partners;\nHow we can help give you access to senior decision makers in organisations who are keen to work together;\nHow you can support us in helping organisations build a clear picture of their policy issues and how best to engage to influence them. \n\nIn public affairs\, the aim is to build as clear a picture as possible of what is happening in the spaces that impact their clients\, or their companies if working in-house; to be the go-to expert on those issues. Think tanks have the expertise\, insight and vision across many issues public affairs are interested in. Whilst their primary audience is usually politicians and officials\, think tanks are essential partners in helping them to understand different policy areas and engage on how best to change them. \nSpeaker bio\nElla is a tech policy and public affairs expert with nearly 20 years of experience advising clients across sectors on complex regulatory\, political and reputational challenges. She is Senior Director of Public Affairs at Hawthorn Advisors\, and has previously held roles including UK Head of Public Affairs at Weber Shandwick\, and Politics and Government Outreach Lead for Northern Europe at Meta. In 2012\, she co-founded the Women in Public Affairs Network\, an award-winning initiative that champions gender equality and supports career development across the industry. \n There will be plenty of opportunity to ask Ella questions during the webinar. \n\nThis webinar is worth 50 CPD points. \nRegister for your place
