Do you want to speak more confidently? Do you want to understand more about nerves and how to control them? Do you want to find out more about how to craft and structure a message? Then this training is for you!
Our all-day training session takes you through what is good public speaking, working through nerves and style issues to building your message. It is a very practical session that will give you multiple opportunities to practise speaking in front of others. You will be asked to submit a topic you would like to speak on before the training and then practise with this topic throughout the day, to ensure that the course content is as useful and actionable.
The day will be a mixture of exercises, group activities and theory with a heavy focus on interactive learning. You will leave the day with a clear idea of what good public speaking is and how to achieve it, practise at key elements of public speaking and a chance to learn more about think tank specific speaking scenarios, including appearing on a panel and directing a Q&A.
You will be working with your peers from other think tanks and attendees will be encouraged to share best practice, build networks and learn from each other.
