Writing for impact training – marshalling your research and building a narrative

Thursday April 23 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Members – £220 + VAT         Non-members – £395 +VAT

Being an effective think tank writer is about being able to marshall large amounts of information and research into a compelling narrative that will persuade key audiences. Being able to do this successfully will make your reports and writings much more impactful, however it is a skill that is often overlooked.

This half-day training session is aimed exclusively at building and honing the skills of planning your writing and how you can effectively construct complicated narratives. The training will help you to produce clear, efficient and persuasive policy reports and briefings. We will be taking attendees through how they can build that narrative thread and how to corral large amounts of research into a report that makes sense.

We will also be looking at the writing process and sharing practical tips and techniques for how to effectively plan, draft and edit your work.

Attendees will have the opportunity to plan out their current work in the session to apply some of the techniques and suggestions discussed.
